To help us continue expanding our offerings, we’re in search of an experienced Product Manager to help direct the roadmap and key initiatives of our agency management platform. This platform provides a scalable, secure, cloud-based web application to our insurance agency customers, enabling them to meet their clients’ insurance placement needs efficiently and effectively. 

The ideal candidate will have a focus on valuable add-ons and enhancements to our platform and an innovative mindset for delivering these to the market. This person should be highly skilled in market analysis with a proven ability to execute the full lifecycle of a product, from concept to release. We’re looking for a confident team member who can guide cross-functional teams in the creation of products that improve insurance retail agent experience and grow market share in a competitive space. This candidate will draw from their experience in the Product Management discipline and, ideally, the Insurance industry domain. 

Responsibilities

  • Execute across all phases of the product management lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, product planning, positioning, epic and feature development, prioritization, roadmap development, and product launch 
  • Lead product and market research to understand core needs of the retail agency market we serve and to ensure Dyad designs and builds the right product for that market 
  • Conduct product competitive analysis in an effort to understand Dyad’s position vs our competitors  
  • Contribute to the roadmap, key initiatives, and feature definition of our Agency Management platform with minimal guidance, identifying potential obstacles and success measures
  • Identify partners needed to achieve Dyad product plans, working with our ecosystem team to establish alliances and agreements 
  • Effectively translate product vision and strategy into epics, features, detailed user stories for prototyping and final development by Dyad development teams 
  • Work closely with development team counterparts to schedule prioritized features and stories into sprint and release plans 
  • Lead the identification, definition, tracking, and communication of product success metrics for the product 
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Dyad and our platform across targeted market segments 
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of product launch and go-to-market cross-functional programs for the platform 

Required Experience / Skills

The successful Product Manager candidate brings: 

  • 5+ years product management experience in a B2B product setting 
  • Experience in the P&C Insurance domain, in a software or technology role 
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle from early ideation through product launch, maturity, and end-of-life 
  • Knowledge of product management best practices and methodologies and a commitment to improving internal practices 
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams through influence 
  • Experience in delivering innovative products to market successfully 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills 
  • Apply knowledge and expertise to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, business administration, information technology, product design, or related program 

 

The ideal candidate will also bring:

  • Understanding of the P&C Retail Agency market, including knowledge of market size and structure, major customer segments, competitors, and trends 
  • Experience using modern Product Management tools such as Aha!, Productboard, and Pendo 
  • Experience using JIRA 
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Experience in a software development or marketing role
